A SACRED PLACE OF HEALING IN AGUA CALIENTES, PULLCALPA, PERU
We have been supporting this sancutary of natural medicine since 2006.
Santuario huistine is the Vision of Enrique & Reyna. It is located close to Pucallpa in the Peruvian Amazon. Situated on a magical hot river know locally as Aguas Calienties. Treesource founder Benjamin first visited the santuario in early 2006 and was greatly inspired by the location, energy and community spirit growing here.
Initially Benjamin supported the project through his personal work and in Nov 2007 created the Treesource Foundation as a formal organisation to support the Santuario and other interconnected rainforest projects.
We give financial support the Santuario to develop, improve and maintain this amazing forest resource. Over the years we have helped with legal fees to secure the santuario's ownership, initiated planting projects, (trees, fruits and plants of sustainable or medicinal value), installed solar lighting, built compost toilets, a natural hot tub. The santuario requires continual maintenance, new buildings, roofs and maintaince of trails and spaces. We have also provided, forestry equipment & tools, stainless steel cooking pots and utensils, water filters, solar battery rechargers, high quality flashlights & rain ponchos.
